Speakers will be Professor Emeritus Lou Cantori, UMBC Political Science Department; Professor Steven David, Professor of Political Science, Johns Hopkins University; and Thomas Donnelly, Resident Fellow, American Enterprise Institute.
Dr. Cantori, a leading scholar of the modern Middle East, is the author of four books and more than sixty articles. He is a founder of the American Council for the Study of Islamic Societies, and has taught at the US Military Academy, West Point; the US Air Force Academy and the US Marine Corps University.
Dr. David, the director of international studies at Johns Hopkins University, is a scholar of U.S. relations with the developing world, especially Israel and the Middle East, and arms control. He is a regular commentator on U.S. foreign policy and international politics for radio and other media.
Thomas Donnelly is author of AEI's "National Security Outlook." His most recent book, The Military We Need, was released in May 2005. From 1995 to 1999, he worked for the Committee on National Security in the U.S. House of Representatives. He is the editor of the Armed Forces Journal, and has also been editor of Army Times and deputy editor of Defense News.
This event is free and open to the public. it will be held in Lecture Hall 3, on the first floor of the Administration Building, 1000 Hilltop Circle, Catonsville.
