A Bark In The Park: The 50 Best Places To Hike With Your Dog In The Baltimore Region
by Doug Gelbert

If you walk your dog just 15 minutes a day, you will have walked far enough in your dog’s lifetime to cross the United States. A Bark in the Park aims to offer dog-walkers some variety by identifying a choice of the 50 best places in the metro area for dog-walking. In addition, it reviews 37 parks in within a half-hour drive of the I-695 Beltway. Author Doug Gelbert adds in information about local history, botany, geology, architecture and more.

The book is illustrated by Andrew Chesworth of Illinois, formerly of Jessup, Md.

A Bark in the Park (ISBN 0-9644427-7-9) has 160 pages, and is published by Cruden Bay Books. It sells at local bookstores, outdoors stores, veterinarians and pet stores for $12.95, or visit hikewithyourdog.com.
