FELON VOTING RIGHTS RESTORED IN MD:

'Juneteenth' Voter Rally

On Wednesday, June 19, a victory rally will be held in the back parking lot of 4448 Park Heights Avenue to celebrate the passage of two bills that passed this session of the Maryland legislature that restore the voting rights for certain ex-felons.

At this event, I Can't We Can, Inc.—the organization founded and convened by Marvin L. "Doc" Cheatham that spearheaded the passage of the legislation—will discuss its voter education plan and sign up volunteers for voter registration drives planned for Fannie Lou Hamer Day on October 6 and on Voter Restoration Day on New Year's Day.
