Polish farmers have completed the blockade in front of the Medika-Shegini checkpoint on the border with Ukraine.

As Ukrinform reports, this was reported by the State Border Service of Ukraine.

“According to information received from the Border Guard of the Republic of Poland, today at 09:30 (Kyiv time) the protest ended in front of the Medika-Shegini checkpoint,” the message says.

Registration and passage of cargo vehicles across the border in the direction of entry into Ukraine is carried out as usual.

Border guards together with control services employees are working to ensure the passage of the maximum number of trucks, the State Tax Service noted and called on drivers to take this information into account when planning international transport.

As Ukrinform reported, on November 6, Polish carriers began blocking truck traffic near checkpoints on the border with Ukraine. Among the main demands is the return of the practice of permits for Ukrainian carriers, abolished by the agreement with the European Union until June 30, 2024.

On the morning of December 23, the checkpoints “Rava Russkaya”, “Krakovets”, “Yagodin” and “Shegini” were blocked. According to Polish border guards, there were more than 4 thousand cars in queues on the border with Ukraine.
