Small privatization of state and municipal property in the Prozorro electronic trading system. Sales in 2023 replenished the budgets of various levels by more than 3.3 billion hryvnia.

As Ukrinform reports, this was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy.

As a result of online auctions for the sale of objects by the State Property Fund (SPFU), the state budget received more than 2.6 billion hryvnia. “, the message says.

It is noted that the key reforms for the government and the Ministry of Economy during a full-scale war are aimed at strengthening the economy and a transparent and effective system for attracting investment. And privatization reform is one of them.

“In total, in 2023, businesses and citizens privatized almost 914 objects throughout the country. 350 of them were state property, which were sold through online auctions Prozorro. Sales were carried out by the State Property Fund and its regional branches, and another 560 were assets sold by communities. And proceeds from the privatization of these assets went to the state and local budgets,” commented the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko.

More than 3.6 thousand participants fought for the right to purchase state and municipal property in 2023, noted Sergei But, head of Prozorro.Sales JSC.

“Business demand for small-scale privatization objects in the second year of a full-scale war continues, and on average the competition at the auction was more than 3 participants,” Booth added.

“Another equally important area of privatization auctions under martial law is the search for objects for business relocation. This is especially true for the service sector of the hospitality industry (catering, restaurant business and hotel management), agricultural, logistics and other sectors of the economy. That is why the most popular real estate properties, and this is 76% of sold property, are industrial and administrative assets. Businesses are interested in the so-called brownfield – abandoned enterprises with communications,” emphasized Vitaly Koval, chairman of the State Property Fund.

According to him, the Fund is already preparing large-scale privatization. Also in the plans is the opening of a transparent market for the rental of agricultural land and the sale at auction of the assets of the aggressor to compensate for the damage caused by the war.

As reported, the State Property Fund of Ukraine, from July 28, 2022 to mid-November 2023, held more than 500 successful privatization auctions, attracting UAH 3.96 billion.
