 Potato prices have fallen in Ukraine

Demand for vegetables is low

The price of potatoes has decreased in Ukrainian stores and markets. This happened due to rather restrained demand in this segment.

This was reported by analysts of the EastFruit project.

The wholesale cost of potatoes was up to 14-18 hryvnia per kilogram. On average, this is 13% cheaper than at the end of the last working week.

It is noted that the supply of potatoes during this week remained quite large, but demand was declining. In addition, many buyers complained about the quality of the products offered and often refused to purchase.

Analysts explained that now potatoes in Ukraine cost on average three times more than in the first half of April 2023. Ukrainian farmers, given the fairly large volumes of these products on the market, do not exclude the possibility of a further reduction in potato prices.

As reported, in Ukraine there is an increase in demand for fresh raspberries. There are no consumers of the berries it is scared away by its high price.
