Inflation, according to the department, has accelerated.

Inflation< /strong> in the consumer market in June 2024 accelerated to 2.2%. This is the largest increase in prices per month – at least in the last year.

This is evidenced by data from the State Statistics Service.

The State Statistics Service reported that inflation in the consumer market in June 2024 accelerated to 2.2% compared to 0.6% in May, 0.2% in April, 0.5% in March, 0.3% in March-February and 0.4% in January. Since the beginning of the year, prices have increased by 4.3%.

Core inflation in June compared to May accelerated to 0.5%, since the beginning of the year it amounted to 3.3%.

According to the State Statistics Service, prices increased:

At the same time, prices decreased by 2.6–0.1% for lard, milk, meat and meat products, fermented milk products, fruits.

Recall that the NBU predicts an increase in inflation: three factors will affect the consumer price index.
