The Ukrainian economy was seriously damaged as a result of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation. Now the situation has begun to improve, until the end of the year the minimum wage of Ukrainians will remain unchanged.
This is reported by the Ministry of Economy.
The department has adjusted expectations regarding changes in the amount salaries during this year. The growth rate of consumer prices will also be different.
Accordingly, by the end of 2024 it is expected:
- nominal GDP – UAH 7,484.7 billion
- real GDP growth at 3.5%
- consumer price index – 105.4% (on average compared to the previous year), 107.9%
- average monthly salary of employees – 20,581 hryvnia, nominal, adjusted to the consumer price index – 112.0% compared to the previous year
Recall that the Ministry of Finance announced the minimum wage forecast for 2024-2026 and indicated a return indexing (for now for public sector employees). The minimum wage from January 1, 2024 was 7,100 UAH, from July 1, 2024 – 8,000 UAH.
