The European Commission supported the new financial package for Ukraine, within which it is planned to allocate almost 4.2 billion euros.

Prime Minister Denis Shmygal announced this.

“The European Commission supports the allocation to Ukraine almost 4.2 billion euros. This significant assistance will strengthen our macro-financial stability against the backdrop of the long struggle for freedom. After receiving these funds, the total amount of funding from the EU within the Ukraine Facility will be 12 billion euros,” the Ukrainian politician wrote. 

Szmigal thanked the European Commission for the “positive assessment of Ukraine’s progress” and President Ursulie von der Leyen for her “continuous support.”

Recall that the UK plans to allocate more than $300 million in aid to Ukraine.
