The price increase will be gradual.
All types of fuel will become more expensive in Ukraine after parliament adopts a law raising the excise tax on fuel, which is expected to come into force on September 1, 2024.
The founder of the Prime logistics group of companies Dmitry Leushkin spoke about this in an interview with UNIAN.
According to the expert, at the beginning of September, the price of a liter of gasoline and diesel fuel will increase by an average of 1 hryvnia, and autogas by 3 hryvnia. At the same time, the price increase will be gradual.
“The final increase of another 50 kopecks for gasoline, a hryvnia for diesel fuel, and 2 hryvnia for gas will take place by mid-September. The total increase will be 1.5 hryvnia per liter of gasoline, 2 hryvnia for diesel fuel, and 5 hryvnia for gas. It will simply happen in two waves,” Leushkin said.
He added that at the beginning of the month, there will still be fuel purchased at old prices at gas stations.
