 NBU released a coin dedicated to the Ukrainian drone: what kind does it look like

The coin will be available for purchase from July 23.

Today, Monday, July 22 2024, the second stream commemorative coin came into circulation – Ukrainian Cotton. Stork-100”. It is dedicated to the multi-purpose unmanned aerial complex “Aist-100”.

This is reported by the NBU.

It is noted that the UAV “Aist-100” provides effective support of defense operations and has become an indispensable tool for conducting aerial reconnaissance, adjusting artillery fire, etc.

What does the commemorative coin look like?

The obverse depicts a stylized image from the flight control monitor of the Aist-100 drone, where enemy targets – tanks – are reflected on the steppe roads.

“In the center is an outline of the complex's glider, embodying technological progress and the innovative potential of Ukraine. The reverse depicts the reconnaissance complex's glider in flight. Above it is a stylized outline of a stork bird, symbolizing the peace and tranquility provided by the vigilance of Storks-100 – the message says.

In the lower part of the composition is a view of the earth’s surface with a conventional diagram of a visual study of the flight route of a drone, reflecting strategic vision and planning.

Stylized vertical and horizontal scales symbolize the ability of the complex determine the coordinates of targets and adjust artillery fire.

Coin denomination – 5 hryvnia, circulation – up to 75,000 pieces.

Coins dated July 23 will be available for purchase in the online store of NBU numismatic products.

We previously reported that the National Bank of Ukraine presented atraditional commemorative coin in the style of the 12-year eastern calendarwith the symbol next year – Dragon.
