Sometimes Ukrainians do not have enough insurance experience to retire and they try to buy it.

All citizens of Ukraine who have reached the age of 16 can buy additional work experience. This applies to both people living abroad and planning to receive a pension in Ukraine, and people of pre-retirement age who do not have enough work experience to receive a pension.
Also, the opportunity to purchase additional work experience may be relevant for people with a low level of official income who are seeking to increase their future pension.
In 2024, to count one full moon of service, you need to pay a minimum insurance premium of UAH 1,760. Thus, a year of service will cost UAH 21,480.
“Pensioners have the opportunity to independently determine the frequency and amount of contributions in accordance with their financial capabilities. At the same time, such voluntary contributions can be made both to their own account and in favor of another person,” the department said in a statement.
Earlier it became known that the calculation may change in Ukraine pensions. The system will take into account only two criteria – the number of years worked and the number of contributions paid monthly.
In addition, pensions of Ukrainians are increasing due to recalculations and indexations. However, in August, payments will be increased by accruing special allowances.
