Cash payments will increase.
Ukrainians who were forced to leave their homes and became internally displaced persons have the right to financial assistance from the state.
Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zholnovych told Ukrinform what the payment will be in 2025.
The IDP payment is 2,000 hryvnia per person and 3,000 hryvnia per child or person with disabilities.
“We have now started paying this amount per family, per household. When we talk about a classic family of four, the support will be 10 thousand: 3 thousand for two children, 2 thousand for two adults. And this is a completely different, quite significant amount,” she noted.
According to her, the Ministry of Social Policy is working to introduce more universal basic social assistance.
“We are leaving assistance for IDPs, we will extend it for vulnerable categories, for people of retirement age, for people with disabilities, for those with low income. That is, these categories of people will continue to receive support of 2-3 thousand hryvnia, but at the same time we will create new, more universal types of assistance,” she added.
Earlier it was reported that the attitude towards refugees from Ukraine is deteriorating in Poland. In particular, 61% of Poles want the migrants to return home after the war, while only 17% of respondents are ready to accept Ukrainians with the possibility of resettlement.
