After lunch on September 2, customs began clearing fuel at new excise rates.
The State Customs Service began clearing fuel at updated excise rates.

One of the traders reported that “customs stood still all day yesterday and this morning, and already after lunch they began clearing fuel at new excise rates.”
Another source said that customs delays were expected, so their company cleared the fuel by August 30, and planned new deliveries after September 1.
According to the law, the minimum excise tax rates are set at:
For diesel fuel:
- From September 1, 2024 – up to €177.60 per 1,000 l
- From 2025 – up to €215.70 per 1,000 l
- From 2026 – up to €253.80 per 1,000 l
- From 2027 – up to €291.90 per 1,000 l
- From 2028 – up to €330 per 1000 l
For gasoline:
- From 1 September 2024 – up to €242.60 per 1,000 l
- From 2025 – up to €271.70 per 1,000 l
- From 2026 – up to €300.80 per 1,000 l
- From 2027 – up to €329.90 per 1,000 l
- From 2028 – up to €359 per 1,000 l
For liquefied gas (propane or a mixture of propane and butane):
- From 1 September 2024 – up to €148 per 1,000 l
- From 2025 – up to €173 per 1000 l
- From 2026 – up to €198 per 1000 l
- From 2027 – up to €223 per 1000 l
- From 2028 – up to €250 per 1000 l
Recall that on September 2, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed law No. 11256-2, which provides for an increase in excise taxes on fuel.
