Buyers of liquefied gas are expected to be the first to feel the introduction of new excise taxes.
After the increase in excise taxes, gasoline will become more expensive by 1.5 UAH, and diesel by 2 UAH. However, liquefied gas will go up in price by more than five hryvnias.
This was stated by Leonid Kosyanchuk, CEO of the gas station network, on air at Kyiv-24.
“It [liquefied gas – ed.] is already slowly leaving the category of alternative fuel for gasoline. That is, they have once again hit the most vulnerable segments of the population who use gas as an alternative fuel,” Kosyanchuk said.
He noted that the preconditions for an increase in the price of all types of fuel have indeed been created, but, probably, for some time the increase in price may be quite insignificant.
“Now, market operators have brought more oil products to Ukraine in anticipation of the introduction of a new excise tax than is actually necessary. Today, everyone is filled up, as they say, “to the brim.” And I have great doubts about the immediate and sharp increase in the price of fuel by exactly these one and a half to two hryvnia. The increase in price is most likely possible primarily for gas,” Leonid Kosyanchuk suggested.
Recall that the State Customs Service began customs clearance of fuel at updated excise rates after lunch on September 2. According to traders, “customs were expectedly idle” all day on Monday and Tuesday morning.
