The amount of such an additional payment depends on the age of the pensioner and increases every 5 years.
In Ukraine, some categories of citizens can count on additional payments and supplements to their pension.
The publication “Na Pensii” writes about this.
Pensioners who meet the following conditions can apply for a special age supplement:
- have reached the age of 70 years
- the total amount of their pensions does not exceed 10,340.35 hryvnia
- receive an old-age pension
The amount of the increase depends on the age of the pensioner. Now payments for those who are entitled to an increase may increase as follows:
- 300 UAH for pensioners aged 70 to 74 inclusive
- 456 UAH for citizens aged 75 to 79 inclusive
- 570 UAH for persons aged 80 years and older
The age increase is calculated automatically and added to the basic pension amount.
It was previously reported that the pension calculation system in Ukraine may change in the near future. The new system will take into account both the number of years worked and the amount of monthly contributions made by the citizen.
