The changes concern the day-ahead market.
On Tuesday, October 1, the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities (NKREKU) decided to increase electricity tariffs from October.
This was reported by the press service of NKREKU.
It is noted that the commission has begun the regulatory procedure for revising the maximum prices in the relevant segments of the electricity market.
“The revision of the ceiling prices on the electricity market is due to the need to ensure conditions for the commercial import of electricity from European countries in order to cover a possible capacity deficit in the autumn-winter period during Russian terrorist attacks on the power grid,” the commission said in a statement.
Capital prices on the day-ahead market and the intraday market:
- from 00:00 to 07:00 – 5,600 UAH/MWh;
- from 07:00 to 17:00 and from 23:00 to 24:00 – 6,900 UAH/MWh;
- from 17:00 to 23:00 – 9,000 UAH/MWh;
- minimum ceiling price – 10 UAH/MWh.
It is proposed to increase the maximum price in the time interval from 11:00 to 17:00 from the current UAH 5,600 to UAH 6,900 per MWh.
As reported, DTEK CEO Maksym Timchenko said that Ukraine has a short-term plan to survive this winter. According to him, under the best-case scenario, power outages will continue for an average of five hours a day this winter.
