Prices for vegetables and dairy products, as well as eggs and chicken meat, may rise by 10-15% during the autumn-winter period.
This was reported by the deputy head of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council Denys Marchuk.
According to the expert, price jump should be expected in vegetable and dairy product groups.
Also, the price increase will be affected by the decrease in the amount of the harvest, which also became more expensive due to corresponding deficit.
Marchuk is convinced that prices for dairy products increased by 5% in August and by 3-5% in September. He is convinced that such a stable situation with price growth can “even continue until February”.
“The same situation can occur with eggs, with chicken meat, respectively. These are all products that will actually have a 10-15% increase in the autumn-winter period,” the expert noted.
Earlier it became known that in Ukraine, greenhouse complexes are increasing prices for tomatoes. One of the reasons was a significant decrease in the supply of greenhouse vegetables on the market, the demand for which remains quite stable.
