Prices will rise in the coming months.
Further growth in food prices is expected in Ukraine.
This was announced by First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotsky on the air of the “Yedinі Novyny” telethon.
According to him, the products for which prices will rise include: bakery products, fruits and vegetables.
The reasons are possible further power outages, as well as the need to ensure storage conditions for these products.
According to Vysotsky, there are products that are more sensitive to electricity supply.
For example, the share of energy in the final production of bakery products is significant, so power outages affect the prices of these products. Also, a large amount of electricity is needed to store vegetables and fruits.
Earlier, the State Statistics Service reported that price growth in Ukraine in September was the largest since the beginning of 2024.
