Utility debts can be paid in installments: Ukrainians were explained how to do this

Ukrainians should contact their service provider for recalculation.

Ukrainians who have accumulated debts for utilities can pay them in installments. Citizens have the opportunity to draw up a restructuring agreement.

Lawyer Stanislav Liflyanchik said this.

“If you know that you have some debt and it is large. If you understand that you cannot pay it off in one payment and in order to avoid disconnection of services, I recommend that you contact the supplier and ask for an installment plan or a deferment from salary. At the same time, pay as much as you can. Most suppliers are accommodating,” he said.

If the debt was accrued illegally, you need to collect documents confirming your case and file an application for recalculation of the debt.

The lawyer also warns against illegal connection to utility networks. If this fact is revealed, fines may be charged and criminal proceedings may be initiated. The best solution in such situations is to contact the supplier with an official application for connection.

Recall that in Ukraine they want to introduce a ban on car registration for citizens who have debts for utility payments.

Earlier it was reported that in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, debts for utilities have increased by a third. The largest number of defaulters are in the Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions.
