Housing rental subsidy: Cabinet approves pilot project for IDPs in nine regions of Ukraine

The housing rental subsidy will not affect the ability to receive a subsidy for utility bills.

The government has approved a pilot project under which IDPs in nine regions of Ukraine will be able to receive a subsidy for housing rental.

This was reported by People's Deputy of the European Solidarity faction Oleksiy Goncharenko on Telegram.

We are talking about renting housing in populated areas of Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson regions.

This is possible only for rental agreements executed and registered in a special database of the Pension Fund.

The rental subsidy will not affect the ability to receive a subsidy for utility bills.

The rental area standard is 13.65 sq. m per person, but not less than 35.22 sq. m per family.

The subsidy will also be provided if the family's rental expenses exceed 30% of their total income.

We remind you that in Ukraine some citizens may be denied state aid.

What will the rental subsidies for IDPs be and when can the service be used?
