 Cost of renting housing in Ukraine: where prices have increased the most

The highest price increase was recorded in three regions.

Over the year, the rent of one-room apartments in Ukraine increased by an average of 8.2%.

This is evidenced by data from the State Statistics Service.

The highest increase in cost was recorded in the Khmelnytskyi region – by 21.2%, Cherkasy – by 18.3%, and Chernivtsi – by 15.4%.

In general, if in December In 2023, renting a one-room apartment in Ukraine cost an average of UAH 6,605, but in October 2024 the price rose to UAH 7,149.

The highest prices remain in the Zakarpattia region (UAH 11,731) and Lviv region (UAH 11,589), and the lowest in the Kherson region (UAH 2,922) and Sumy (UAH 3,598).

In the Carpathians, renting housing in houses remains the most expensive vacation option.

Recall that in recent years, Ukrainians have become more active in buying residential property in Spain. According to a real estate sales company, Ukrainian buyers account for 1.75% of the total volume of Spanish real estate sales to non-residents. In the first half of 2022 alone, the number of real estate purchase transactions by Ukrainians increased by 73% compared to the same period in 2021 and by 133% in 2023 compared to 2022.
