The government has amended the regulations governing payments to military personnel.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has introduced additional payments to military personnel participating in hostilities on the territory of Russia, as well as to wounded soldiers undergoing treatment.
This was reported by the government representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk.
Thus, the government amended the resolutions of December 30, 2015 No. 1161 and February 28, 2022 No. 168, which regulate payments to military personnel. The wording “on the territory of the aggressor state” was added to the resolutions. Before this, all the rules were already in effect on the territory of Ukraine, noted MP Oleksiy Goncharenko.
Thus, for the period of martial law, military personnel performing their duties on the territory of the aggressor state, during their direct participation in the implementation and/or provision of measures to defend Ukraine, will be paid:
- additional remuneration in the amount of 100 thousand UAH per month in proportion to the time of participation in such actions and events,
- one-time remuneration in the amount of 70 thousand UAH for every 30 days (calculated in total) of performing such tasks.
The rank and file and command staff of the State Emergency Service, NABU and police officers will be paid additional compensation in the amount of up to 100 thousand UAH per month in proportion to the time of participation in military operations.
An additional 100 thousand UAH will be paid to persons who due to injury(concussion, injury, mutilation) during the performance of military duty on the territory of the aggressor state, are undergoing inpatient treatment in healthcare institutions or are on leave for treatment after injury according to the conclusion of the VVK.
In addition, military personnel performing tasks on the territory of the aggressor country are entitled to tax benefits for military tax.
In the event of the death of persons performing military duty on the territory of the aggressor state, family members will be paid a one-time cash assistance in the amount of 15 million UAH.
By the way, People's Deputy Olha Vasilevska-Smaglyuk stated that the state budget for 2025 adopted by the Verkhovna Rada includes 120 billion UAH for financing the Defense Forces. It is impossible to collect such funds without raising taxes.
