For the first time in a month and a half: cucumbers have become cheaper in Ukraine

The number of offers on the Ukrainian market has increased.

In Ukraine, a decrease in prices for greenhouse cucumbers is observed. One of the reasons was the rapid increase in the supply of imported products from Turkey on the market.

This was reported by analysts of the East Fruit project.

They noted that cucumbers from local greenhouses practically did not enter the market, which is due to the seasonal factor.

Thus, as of November 15, wholesale prices for greenhouse cucumbers were within 70-100 UAH/kg ($ 1.70-2.42/kg), while a week earlier this vegetable was sold at 100-125 UAH/kg ($ 2.42-3.03/kg).

Most sellers do not rule out that in the coming weeks, prices for imported cucumbers will continue to decline due to the gradual increase in the supply of this product on the Ukrainian market.

Analysts added that currently imported cucumbers go on sale at an average of 24% more expensive than in mid-November 2023.

Earlier it was reported that food prices in Ukraine will go up in November. Read more about this in the news.
