In the budget, the maximum dollar exchange rate is set at 42.1 UAH.
In the short term, the dollar exchange rate in Ukraine will remain relatively stable.
Expert Alexander Khmelevsky reported this in a commentary to “Glavred”.
“According to the State Budget for 2024, the maximum dollar exchange rate is set at 42.1 UAH. In December, the interbank rate will not exceed this mark. But due to the great demand for foreign currency, the National Bank will be forced to lower the hryvnia exchange rate,” he said.
In December, the hryvnia exchange rate on the interbank market will fluctuate within the range of 41.4-42.1 UAH per dollar. UAH.
According to Khmelevsky, the EU's problems are reflected in the euro exchange rate, which is losing ground against the dollar. In the coming months, the trend of the dollar strengthening against the euro is expected to continue.
The hryvnia exchange rate has been in a narrow corridor against the dollar for the fourth month already. However, a reduction in foreign financing or any delays in the receipt of certain tranches may lead to an increase in the devaluation of the hryvnia.
As reported, the dollar is testing the nerves of Ukrainians – its exchange rate fluctuations are becoming more and more noticeable during the week, but in the end everything returns to normal. But the euro is constantly getting cheaper, the downward trend has lasted for two months, during which time the euro currency has lost more than 5% of its value on the cash market against the hryvnia, or 2.5 UAH.
