Gas and electricity tariffs: how much will Ukrainians pay

Despite the increase in tariffs, the government will ensure stable energy supply and stable prices for consumers

The increase in energy prices will not affect prices for consumers. Thanks to state support, energy companies will be able to operate without losses, and gas supplies will remain stable.

This was stated by the people's deputy from the Servant of the People faction Serhiy Nagornyak on air at Kyiv 24.

“The price for consumers will not increase, since the government has raised the price to 4.32 kopecks. These funds are enough for energy companies to operate without losses. Not only Energoatom and Ukrhydroenergo and other state-owned companies provide energy supplies.”

According to him, the companies will incur losses, but will remain profitable thanks to state support.

“They will earn a little less, they will incur certain losses, but we are all owners of one state-owned company. When we do not have enough gas, Naftogaz buys it in Europe, and when we do not have enough of our own gas, sometimes it sells it to us at a loss at a fixed rate. We do not experience interruptions in gas, there are not many outages,” he said.

About gas

Gas supplies are uninterrupted, consumers do not experience frequent outages, and the gas supply situation remains stable.

“We do not experience interruptions in gas, there are not many outages,” he said.

Recall that the NBU predicts that tariffs for gas, heating and hot water will remain unchanged during 2024-2025. However, from 2026, their gradual increase should be expected, according to the new inflation report of the National Bank of Ukraine.
