The supply of white cabbage on the market is quite limited, since many farms prefer not to rush into sales.
High-quality white cabbage has started to rise in price in Ukraine this week.
This is reported by analysts from the EastFruit project.
Under the current conditions, owners of high-quality cabbage have started to raise selling prices. For now, they are ready to ship this product in the range of 20-27 UAH/kg depending on quality and volume, which is on average 11% more expensive than the week before.
At the same time, the supply of white cabbage on the market is quite limited, since many farms prefer not to rush into sales, they do not rule out that in the coming weeks, prices for this product may continue to rise.
Analysts noted that today the price of white cabbage in Ukraine is already on average 2.7 times higher than for the same period in 2023. Most market participants predict its further rise in price.
Earlier, the NBU reported that low yields, deteriorating quality of vegetables and fruits, as well as the rapid depletion of reserves since last year contribute to an increase in prices for food products.
