Ukrainians will feel a significant increase in food prices.

Such a forecast was made by scientists from the Institute of Agrarian Economics, writes “24 Channel”.

In particular, for oranges – up to 85 hryvnia per kilogram, lemons – 65 hryvnia per kilogram, tangerines – 80 hryvnia, bananas – up to 60 hryvnia.

Meat prices will traditionally continue to rise before the New Year. Before the holidays, retail prices for these types of meat may increase by up to 9%, predicts scientist Natalia Kopytets.
“Traditionally, during the New Year and Easter holidays, there is a noticeable increase in prices for the main types of meat – beef, pork and poultry,” she noted.
Earlier, the NBU reported that low crop yields, deteriorating quality of vegetables and fruits, as well as the rapid depletion of reserves since last year contribute to rising prices for food products.
