Yaroslav Yurchyshyn said that he is completely satisfied with his salary.
The salaries of people's deputies of Ukraine today are approximately 40 thousand UAH per month. There is nothing to complain about.
MP Yaroslav Yurchyshyn reported this on the Novyny Live TV channel.
Yurchyshyn answered the question of how much Verkhovna Rada deputies currently earn.
“Somewhere around 40 thousand. Plus, depending on whether you are the head of a committee, first deputy, or secretary, there is a small bonus, but it is all within this amount. In principle, there is nothing to complain about. We understand that the salary is above the market average. We will not focus on the management team or private enterprises. Therefore, we can say that it is completely satisfactory,” the people's representative said.
He added that demanding large salaries during a war is inappropriate.
“Plus, demanding something more during a war… We are public sector employees, we understand that given that we are essentially living on borrowed money as a country, any problems with the budget balance – the first ones who will not receive salaries are the same people's deputies and teachers, and a number of other categories,” Yurchyshyn said.
By the way, the salaries of Ukrainian prosecutors range from 59 to 145 thousand UAH per month, depending on the position and region.
