The reason for the increase in prices was the increase in electricity prices. New utility tariffs in Ukraine in 2025 apply not only to electricity, but also to other housing and communal services, which will significantly change the expenses of Ukrainians.
In December 2024, the average prices for utilities changed compared to tariffs in December 2023. We are talking about the cost of housing, water, gas and other types of fuel. Tariffs have increased by 18.9%.
This was reported by the State Statistics Service (Gosstat).
The reason for the price increase was the increase in electricity prices.
In particular, according to the agency, tariffs in Ukraine have increased:
- for electricity – by 63.6%
- for apartment building management services – by 11.2%
- for garbage collection – by 8.9%
- for housing maintenance and repairs – by 3.9%
At the same time, tariffs for natural gas, hot water and heating have not changed. In addition, prices for water supply and sewerage remained stable.
Recall that the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a list of citizens who will be granted benefits for payment of housing and communal services in Ukraine from 2025.
