When concluding the list of restrictions, a number of proposals from the McFaul-Yermak sanctions group were taken into account.
On Wednesday, January 15, the United States announced a new package of sanctions against enterprises, companies and individuals involved in supporting the military machine of the Russian Federation. There are about 100 entities on the list.
This was reported by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak.
According to him, when concluding the list of restrictions aimed at increasing pressure on the Russian Federation due to its aggression and violation of international law, a number of proposals from the McFaul-Yermak sanctions group were taken into account.
The list includes key enterprises, companies, foreign partners and individuals involved in supporting the Russian military machine, financial fraud and violating sanctions.
The sanctions include banks involved in circumventing restrictions, including Keremet Bank, a financial institution in Kyrgyzstan that collaborated with Russian officials to circumvent sanctions.
The following are also subject to restrictions:
- FSUE Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant and its CEO V. Isayev – a structure created for the illegal management of the occupied Zaporizhzhya NPP;
- two subsidiaries of Rosatom: NPO Centrotech and FSUE Mining and Chemical Combine;
- more than 25 Russian defense companies, such as the Serov Mechanical Plant, NNPO named after M.V. Frunze, Saransk Instrument-Making Plant;
- foreign companies from China, Turkey, the UAE and Malaysia, which supplied millions of consignments of goods to Russian sanctioned enterprises;
- almost 30 Russian companies involved in the procurement and distribution of sanctioned goods, including for the production of ZALA drones;
- Viktorov, a lawyer who helped conceal the Rotenbergs' assets through international investments, and companies associated with him, including the management company Evocorp;
- Kozlov, a bodyguard and beneficiary of some of Boris Rotenberg's companies;
- about 25 Russian metallurgical enterprises, including the Kamensk-Uralsky Metallurgical Plant, Terra Steel Group and the Keramax group of companies;
- the Turkish shipyard KUZEY STAR SHIPYARD, which built a floating dock to service Russia's nuclear icebreakers.
“The sanctions are aimed at undermining the financial and technological capabilities of the Russian Federation to wage war and circumvent existing restrictions. I am grateful to our experts for their work on the study of the components in Russian weapons. This is a big job, you are great,” Andrey Yermak wrote in his message.
Recall that after the introduction of sanctions by the United States, three tankers with more than 2 million barrels of Russian oil are sailing in the waters near China.
