Pensioners who worked in certain professions in rural areas have the right to housing benefits.
A number of benefits are provided for pensioners in Ukraine, including a 100% discount on housing and communal services.
This is stated in a message from the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
Some pensioners in Ukraine have been exempted from paying for utilities. This applies to rural residents who worked in the fields of culture, medicine or education before retirement and continue to live in rural areas.
Other financial assistance for pensioners
Pensioners are also provided with financial support in the amount of UAH 1,000 from the state for a subscription to printed media.
Let us also recall the right of non-free travel for pensioners. Citizens can travel absolutely free of charge upon presentation of a pension certificate:
- in city public transport (except for the metro, taxis and fixed-route taxis);
- on suburban railway routes.
Free legal assistance for pensioners
Ukrainians of advanced age can receive legal assistance free of charge or at a discount. We are talking about pensioners whose pension is less than UAH 4,722 or less than UAH 6,056 for people with disabilities.
Land tax for pensioners
Pensioners are exempt from paying land tax, but not if the established land limits are not exceeded.
