The Cabinet of Ministers explained what to expect from the pension reform.
9% will be deducted from citizens' salaries in order to increase the size of their pensions in the future.
This was announced on January 27 by the Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zholnovych during the presentation of the results of the ministry's work.
According to her, as stipulated by the requirements of international partners, in particular the IMF, Ukraine will begin pension reform in 2025.
This amount of deductions from salaries will allow you to receive 20% of your average salary during your lifetime in retirement. At the same time, you can voluntarily deduct more.
The Cabinet of Ministers' bill on pension reform may be submitted for consideration this year.
According to Zholnovich, the first steps in implementing the funded pension system may begin as early as 2026.
Recall that it was previously reported that pensioners will receive an additional 2,300 UAH. Such additional payment will be provided only during martial law.
