They shouted to hand it over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but they themselves “squeezed”: Prytula about Ukrainians who received a thousand

They shouted to give it to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but they themselves

According to his observations, as of December, only 4% of people who received a thousand hryvnia from the state transferred it to the army.

Most of the people who complained about why the money allocated for “e-support” (“Zelensky's thousand”) was not given to the army, themselves did not donate them.

Volunteer and public figure Serhiy Prytula stated this in an interview with Suspilne.

Prytula noted that these are not official figures, but, according to his observations, as of December, only 4% of people who received a thousand hryvnia from the state sent it to charitable foundations helping the army.

At the same time, even this figure allowed charitable organizations to increase their capacity in December, says Prytula. He has no analytics for January. However, he urges not to perceive these funds as a panacea.

“I have long been a supporter of the theory of low expectations, so I am not disappointed. I had no hope that in a poor country they give a person a thousand that he did not earn, he will most likely use it for utilities, a pharmacy, etc. Many want to take more care of themselves and demand more from the state.

Earlier, Serhiy Prytula answered where he would direct the money instead of handing out “Zelensky's thousand.”
