Prices rising like on yeast: which products have risen the most

Ukrainian food manufacturers for a year raised wholesale prices by more than 20%.

as of the end of January 2025, wholesale prices for products of Ukrainian food Industry, compared with January last year, increased by an average of 20.6%. At the same time, in the domestic market, the increase in prices amounted to 17.5%, and export goods went up by 33%.

this is stated in the report of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

within Ukraine most of all in a year Domested dairy products – by 22.3%. Bread and flour prices rose by 15.4%, and for meat and meat products – by 12%.

The situation with the prices of soft drinks is somewhat better. This group of products has risen in price by only 8.2% in the domestic market.

at the same time, the State Statistics Service records a slight drop in sugar within the country – cheaper by 0.3%.

It is worth noting that retail consumers buying products in markets and in supermarkets feel changes in wholesale prices with a delay of several months.

Recall, according to experts, already in March 2025, the cost of dairy products will begin to decline. This is associated with the fact that in the spring most cows are overwhelming, which increases milk production and, accordingly, a market supply.
