Since the beginning of the year, 7,239 electric cars have been registered in Ukraine, 6,024 of which were imported from abroad.
The Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported this in Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
“More and more car owners are switching to “ecological” cars. Thus, since the beginning of 2025, 7,239 electric cars have been registered in Ukraine. Of these, 6,024 were imported from abroad and 1,215 were new. The most popular colors of electric cars: gray – takes first place; white – in second; black – completes the rating,” the State Statistics Service reported.
The center noted that cars with an electric engine are exempt from paying the pension fee upon first registration. They are also assigned exclusively green license plates (plates with green symbols and separate series in Latin letters).
As reported, 51.7 thousand electric vehicles were sold in Ukraine in 2024, which is 38% more than in 2023.
