US President Donald Trump has announced the application of procedures to extend for next year the sanctions imposed by the United States against Russia due to its invasion of Ukraine.
This is stated in the official message of the president, posted in the US Federal Register, which is to come into force on February 28, Ukrinform reports.
“Pursuant to section 202(d) of the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1622(d)), I am extending for one year the emergency declared by Executive Order 13660,” the document says.
