risks for the Ukrainian economy remain very high.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) revised towards the deterioration forecast for the growth of the Ukrainian economy in 2025, reducing it by 0.5 percentage points (P.P.) compared with the previous forecast-up to 2-3%.
This is reported by Interfax-Ukraine.
According to the forecast, the growth of real GDP will slow down to 2-3% in 2025. Inflation reached 12.9%, which entailed an increase in the NBU accounting rate.
“The economy of Ukraine retains stability, but GDP growth will slow down due to war and inflation,” the report said.
We recall that the National Bank of Ukraine also changed its forecasts. Given the risks of safety and the difficult situation in the labor market, the NBU at the end of January reduced the prognosis of the growth of real GDP by 2025 from 4.1%to 3.6%, while the state budget-2025 was built on the forecast of GDP growth by 2.7%.
