Most pensioners will have an increased pension
The March pension indexation in 2025 has been completed. Payments for most pensioners have increased. Preliminary, this year, Ukrainians' pensions will be indexed by 11.5%.
The Ministry of Social Policy reported this.
Only the “net” pension is subject to indexation – this is the amount without taking into account additional payments and allowances. However, the Cabinet of Ministers has set limits on the size of the increase in payments:
- minimum payments could increase by 100 hryvnia;
- maximum – 1,500 hryvnia.
On average, pensions of Ukrainians will increase by 556 hryvnia as a result of indexation. Thus, the average pension payment will increase from 5,789 to 6,345 hryvnia.
How your pension has changed after indexation can be found online:
- you need to go to the portal of electronic services of the Pension Fund of Ukraine using the link;
- log in (this can be done via QEP, “Action. Signature”, BankID);
- Information can be found in the “My Pension” section.
As reported, a funded pension system will be launched in Ukraine. This may happen as early as 2026. The Ministry of Social Policy has already sent a draft law to the Cabinet of Ministers.
