How many millionaires are there in Ukraine: the figure is impressive

The age of the youngest Ukrainian millionaire is only 3.5 years.

In Ukraine, 3,186 millionaires were counted by the end of 2024 – that’s how many people reported receiving income of more than UAH 1 million last year.

This was reported by the State Tax Service of Ukraine.

The statement indicates that during January and February, 3,186 Ukrainian citizens have already reported income received in 2024 in the amount of more than UAH 1 million. The total amount of income declared by them is UAH 21.8 billion.

These taxpayers have been assigned to pay UAH 269.6 million in personal income tax and UAH 44.6 million in military tax to the budget.

According to the State Tax Service, the youngest millionaire is only 3.5 years old. His authorized representative declared income received as an inheritance or gift from persons who are not first- or second-degree family members.

The oldest millionaire was a 96-year-old woman from Kiev who declared income from securities transactions.

In addition, 25 individuals independently declared tax liabilities in the amount of more than UAH 1 million. Of these:

  • six people live in Kyiv,
  • four – in the Kyiv region,
  • three – in Transcarpathia,
  • two – in Sumy,
  • two – in Lviv,
  • one – in Volyn,
  • one – in Dnepropetrovsk,
  • one – in Zhitomir,
  • one – in Zaporizhzhya,
  • one – in Ivano-Frankivsk,
  • one – in Ternopil,
  • one – in Odessa,
  • one – in Kherson.

“In total, over the two months of the current year, citizens submitted more than 44 thousand declarations, as a result of which income in the amount of UAH 36.2 billion was declared. This is 62%, or UAH 13.9 billion more than in the same period last year,” the State Tax Service noted.

Residents of Kyiv, Lviv and Dnepropetrovsk regions were the most active in declaring their income.

UAH 436.9 million of personal income tax was declared for payment to the budget, which is 15% (or UAH 54.5 million) more than for the same period last year. The amount of military tax increased by 15% (or UAH 10.4 million) and amounted to UAH 80.3 million.

In addition, more than 16 thousand individuals declared their right to a tax deduction, thanks to which they will receive UAH 105.7 million back from the budget.
