The Turech region has the largest production of natural gas

Dopovid Turechchyna is actively increasing its supply of natural gas, changing its deposits from foreign energy sources, and is approaching its transformation into an energy hub.

This is the case at the Forum of Regional Gas Exporters “Prospects until 2050,” Ukrinform reports from a post on TRT Haber.

“With the commissioning of the Sakarya gas field, the river’s natural gas production increased from 400 million cubic meters to 1 billion 300 million cubic meters. In 2024, this figure reached 2 billion and 260 million cubic meters,” says the informant.

It has been established that new developments and new discoveries at the Sakaria river gas field could reduce the natural gas flow in Turechchyna to 17 billion cubic meters by 2050. This significant increase is assessed as a critical deadline for the Turkish region in order to shorten energy imports and achieve energy independence.

It seems that Turechchyna is not less likely to collapse to the point of providing a high-quality gas supply, and even more so to become an energy hub. The region is a critically important transit hub between Europe, Nizhny Novgorod and Russia with their pipelines and LNG supplies.

Based on this, it turns out that the light output of gas until 2050 will be 5 trillion 317 billion cubic meters. Across Europe until this date, there will be a decrease in production volumes of 119 billion cubic meters.

According to Ukrinform, American companies will help the Turkish region in the search for oil and gas at the end of the border. According to previous estimates, reserves in the region exceed those of the 5-river production of Turechchina.
