“We discussed the functioning of the maritime corridor, which will ensure the export of Ukrainian products in the face of a constant threat from the side of the aggressor country. This allows Ukraine to play an important role in the world’s food security and contribute to the government’s economy,” the commander said.

Nezhpapa informed that “from the beginning of the movement of ships along the alternative “grain corridor”, the Military-Maritime Forces ensured the passage of over 12 thousand ships through the ports of the “Great Odessa” and the Danube River. During this hour, more than 103 million tons of food and other goods were extracted.”

According to the words of the Navy commander, “the enemy continues to create threats to civilian shipping and strikes at ports and ships.”

“As a result of the full-scale aggression of Russia, 33 ships were destroyed, of which three were destroyed. As a result of these attacks, 13 people died, and another 38 were injured,” said Neizhpapa.

The Navy commander also “vocalized the problem of sea mines, especially drifting mines, which pose an urgent threat to shipping. An important part is the dissemination of the water area, which allows us to avoid catastrophic consequences for civilian ships.”
