The Verkhovna Rada generally praised bill No. 9234-d “On hops and hop products,” which regulates the activity of hop production in Ukraine in line with the standards of the European Union.
People's deputy from the parliamentary faction “Voice” Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported this to Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
According to this data, the draft law was supported by 282 people's deputies.
The Committee on Agricultural Nutrition and Land Policy stated that the document may bring Ukrainian standards for hops and hop products into line with the EU, as well as define rules for government and business bodies in this galusi.
The provisions of the document, zokrema, indicate the following requirements for certification of hops (hop products), available to certification centers and the procedure for their inclusion in the relevant register, as well as the procedure for this by the competent authority control over the activities of certification centers.
In addition, the specific features of the labeling of hops (hop products) and the procedure for official supervision of this process, instead of certificates for them, have been transferred.
The main changes in the supply of hop growers and hop products are identified, as well as the procedure for state control and responsibility for damage to these hops.
In addition, the document introduces amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On Information for the Purchasing of Grocery Products” in terms of expanding the naming of categories of grub products and their meanings.
As it was reported, 75% of all Ukrainian hops grow in the Zhytomyr region; According to this indicator, the region is the leader in the state. Zhytomyr has the only plant in Ukraine, certified according to international standards, for the production of hop pellets.
