“Korean partners confirmed their interest in the great infrastructure projects of Energoatom, and in the production of power units No. 3, 4 with VVER-1000 technology and in the expansion of power units No. 5, 6 with AP1000 technology at the Khmelnitsky Nuclear Power Plant. The parties discussed financial support for the projects,” the source said.
As reported, Energoatom and Sense Bank signed a memorandum on the production of new equipment from the direct purchase of the Bulgarian nuclear power plant Belene, which is necessary for the production of power units No. 3 and No. 4 at the Khmelnitsky Nuclear Power Plant.
On November 11, the Verkhovna Rada supported the purchase of Russian equipment from Bulgaria for the production of two power units at the Khmelnytsky Nuclear Power Plant. This amendment was introduced before bill No. 11392, which previously transferred simplified access to electricity for business and voting to the first reader. Another reader had no provision for easier access to the limits.
Bill No. 11392 also does not provide permission for the immediate production of power units No. 3 and No. 4 at KhNES – for which it will be necessary to adopt a criminal law.
