The 2026 state budget project includes an increase in the minimum wage and the subsistence minimum, reports Baltimore Chronicle with a reference to EP. This will be the first change since 2024, as the figures remained unchanged in 2025.

The minimum wage is planned at UAH 8,647, which is an 8% increase compared to the current UAH 8,000. The overall subsistence minimum will rise from UAH 2,920 to UAH 3,209, a 9.9% increase.

The subsistence minimum for able-bodied persons is expected to be UAH 3,328, up from UAH 3,028 (+9.9%). For persons who have lost their ability to work, the figure will increase to UAH 2,595 from UAH 2,361 (+9.9%). This indicator determines the minimum pension amount.

The maximum pension in 2026 will be UAH 25,950. These changes establish key social indicators in the budget project and will affect citizens’ incomes next year.
