The inspiration comes from a viral gourmet dish served at the U.S. Open in August 2025. At the tennis championships, New York’s Korean-inspired fried chicken restaurant COQODAQ sold six nuggets topped with Petrossian caviar, creme fraiche, and chives for $100. Caviar, a delicacy made from salt-cured, unfertilized fish eggs, is traditionally associated with luxury dining.
Understanding the interest of its audience in novelty and viral food trends, McDonald’s is distributing its McNugget Caviar kit for free. Consumers need only sign up online to secure a kit. The promotion aims to provide a playful yet upscale experience for fans of both fast food and gourmet cuisine.
McDonald’s McNugget Caviar kits will be available for claim starting Tuesday, February 10, at 11 a.m. ET at mcnuggetcaviar.com, while stocks last. Each kit contains a 1-ounce tin of McNugget Caviar, a $25 McDonald’s gift card, a portion of creme fraiche, and a Mother of Pearl caviar spoon, according to the company’s press release.
