In Ukraine, apartment rental prices increased by 16% over the year

The average rent for a 1-room apartment in December 2023 was 6,605 hryvnia. Over the year, the cost increased by 15.9%, which is three times higher than official inflation (5.1%). This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with a link to the State Statistics Service website.

The most expensive rent

The Transcarpathian region is in first place in terms of rental cost, where rent increased by 46.2 % up to UAH 12,731

Lviv region is in second place. The cost of rent since the beginning of the year has increased by 7.4% to 11,789 UAH.

In Kyiv, rent has risen by 14.3% to 8,727 UAH. The capital remains in third place in terms of cost.

The cheapest rent

At the same time, the lowest prices are in the front-line Kherson (2,960 UAH), Sumy (3,008 UAH) and Mykolayiv (3,501 UAH) regions.
