At the end of 2023, loans worth UAH 8.85 billion were issued under the “Eoselya” program of affordable mortgage lending, which is only UAH 0.06 billion less than the record amount of mortgages issued by Ukrainian banks in pre-war 2021, which was a record successful. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy.

In total, since the start of “єOseli”, the volume of loans issued has already exceeded UAH 10 billion. Thanks to this, almost 6.7 thousand Ukrainian families were able to purchase their own housing in all regions of the country, except those temporarily occupied or those where active hostilities are ongoing.
Where mortgages are issued the most
The capital and the Kiev region are the constant leaders in the rate of mortgage issuance. The Rivne, Lviv, Vinnytsia and Volyn regions are popular among citizens.
Also, despite the proximity to the front, 59 Ukrainians took out a loan to purchase their home in the Kharkov region and 13 in Zaporozhye.
Expansion of “єOseli” conditions
The Ministry of Economy reminded that on January 26, changes to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 856 will come into force, providing for a significant expansion of the conditions of “єOseli”.
In particular, private houses, duplexes and townhouses are becoming available for purchase with a mortgage.
The opportunity to choose housing for veterans and combatants is also growing. They will be able to purchase an apartment at 7% per annum in a building that is no more than 10 years old for Kiev and regional centers or without restrictions on the period of commissioning for other settlements.
The program is also expected to integrate with “єVidnovlennyam”, when, after changes to the relevant law come into force, citizens will be able to use a housing certificate as part of the down payment on a mortgage.
