Residents of the liberated territories received cash assistance worth more than 755 million

In 2022-2023, residents of the de-occupied territories were paid cash benefits in the amount of UAH 755.6 million ($19 million). This was reported by the press service of the Ministry for the Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories.

It is noted that the payment process was established thanks to the coordination of the government and the support of the International Organization for Migration and the Ukrainian Red Cross Society.< /p>

In particular, funds were received through Ukrposhta to people living in the liberated territories of Donetsk, Lugansk, Nikolaev, Kharkov and Kherson regions.

So, from the International Organization for Migration in the period from the end of October 2022 year to November 2023, about 119 thousand people from these regions received cash assistance for a total amount of more than 459.8 million UAH.

The Ukrainian Red Cross Society during this period provided more than 246 thousand people with cash assistance for more than 295 .7 million UAH.

The “Ministry of Finance” wrote that the UN appealed to donors with a request to allocate $4.2 billion in support of war-affected communities in Ukraine and Ukrainian refugees during 2024.
