Ukraine received guarantees from the United States regarding long-term support, in particular, the transfer of confiscated Russian assets for the reconstruction of the country. Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal stated this in an interview with Politico, Ukrinform reports.

“We have all the guarantees from the United States for long-term support for Ukraine. For example, on the confiscation of Russian assets to finance the reconstruction of the country. We are working with President Joe Biden's administration and Congress to secure support for 2024. We will see how circumstances develop in 2025,” he said.
Presidential elections in the United States
In the context of the upcoming presidential elections in the United States, scheduled for November 5, 2024, Shmygal expressed the hope that any president of the United States will support Ukraine’s struggle for civilized values.
He also added that the majority of Americans support Ukraine.
“There is no one who would like to end this war more than the Ukrainians. We believe that President Zelensky’s peace plan is the only tool for achieving long-term and sustainable peace,” Shmygal said, commenting on Donald Trump’s statement that he would be able to end the war in a day if he becomes president.
